I use a surgical staple inserted into the ear for 3 months to assist in appetite control. Because the ear is a complete micro-system of the body I am able to treating the entire body through just the ear. What I work with is that “full feeling” we get after eating a meal. It takes 20 minutes for the brain to register that the stomach is full. Therefore, if you eat fast you may have been full 10 minutes prior but kept eating because you didn’t know (because your brain didn’t get the signal from your stomach yet). This technique I use, works with that ‘fullness’ feedback loop, your brain actually gets the “I’m full feeling” faster. With a lifestyle work-up and other suggestions and two follow-up visits you are well on your way to controlled eating.
